Dark Rome is the creation of a group of travelers living in Rome, dismayed at the low-quality tours on the market led so
often by un-enthusiastic and incomprehensible tour guides.
Dark Rome is the current leader in Rome in the move towards higher quality tours and walks, brought about by the presence of
sites like www.tripadvisor.com which release un-edited reviews so customers can now make informed decisions about the
companies they book with.
Our current success is based on the excellent advice of travelers like you, who know what they want and share their
impressions with us via thousands of e-mails and phone calls.
From your feedback a new philosophy in tours was born ‘The Dark Rome Way’, which caters specifically to the needs
and interests of the English Speaking tourist that comes to Rome, whether for the first or the fifth time.

The Old Way
Guides with poor, barely understandable English or tours given in multiple languages.
The Dark Rome Way
Our tour guides are mostly native English speakers, and will always have perfect, clearly understandable English. Your tour will be in your language, and only your language.

The Old Way
Guides who are heavy on mundane dates and facts, uninteresting information you probably won’t remember.
The Dark Rome Way
Our tours are created to include all of the most interesting information, the stories you’ll take home with you and share with friends and family long after your tour.
All of our guides are specially trained to communicate this information in a fun and comprehensible way, sharing art, history and architecture with you and getting you involved and impassioned.

The Old Way
Bad, or non-existent customer service.
The Dark Rome Way
In addition to our ever-helpful tour guides that are always willing to answer all of your questions or go that extra mile just to make your visit special, we have a dedicated Customer Service team available to you 7 days a week from 07.30AM to 06.00PM GMT+1 time, ready and willing to answer all of your questions pre and post-tour via e-mail and phone.
In fact, we are so confident in the quality of our Customer Service, that we invite each and every one of our clients to leave un-edited public reviews on Trip Advisor and around the web.

The Old Way
Overcrowded groups and no headsets.
The Dark Rome Way
Each and every single one of our tours has a strictly limited group size, and the number never exceeds 20 for our Museum tours, and 25 for outdoor tours.
And just to make sure you don’t miss anything, we always provide headsets where they are needed so you don’t need to crowd your guide, and are free to let your eyes wander.

The Old Way
Lines, lines, and more lines.
The Dark Rome Way
We Skip the Lines. We understand that when you travel, time is important and that you don’t want to waste it standing in the long lines Rome, the Vatican City and Florence’s many popular sites.
We have entrance agreements with all of the major venues, which means you get in faster and spend more time seeing instead of waiting.

The Old Way
Stagnant, never changing tours.
The Dark Rome Way
Here at Dark Rome, we understand the importance of listening to our Customer feedback and taking action.
We also understand how important it is to always stay on the cutting edge of what travelers want to see in Rome.
Our tours are evolving constantly to keep with the ever increasing demands of our clients, and we take great pride in being able to keep up!

The Old Way
Cookie-cutter tours.
The Dark Rome Way
The cities you are visiting are filled with hidden beauties, forgotten Galleries and alleyways, stories and legends. We don’t just share the information you were expecting to hear, but we take it a step further, throwing in a personal Dark Rome touch with unique tidbits and anecdotes, and visits to places overlooked by all of the ‘standard’ tours.
Dark Rome began specializing in highly unique ‘Boutique’ tours and incorporated the same philosophy of ‘new, different and interesting’ into all of our classic tours as well.
So when you take a Dark Rome tour, you’ll feel like you are experiencing something different and special – and you most certainly are!
